Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on June 10, 2025.

We at Grieving Hearts are working to make our site accessible to people with disabilities.

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

We are committed to making this website accessible to all users, including those using assistive technologies. This site follows the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines to the best of our ability and has been reviewed using the Wix Accessibility Wizard to help identify and resolve potential issues.

As part of our accessibility efforts, we have:

  • Set the site’s language for screen readers

  • Organized content in a logical order

  • Defined clear heading structures on all pages

  • Added alternative text to images

  • Chosen color combinations that meet contrast guidelines

  • Limited the use of motion or animation

Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content

The accessibility of certain pages on the site depends on contents that do not belong to the organization, and instead belong to [enter relevant third-party name]. The following pages are affected by this: [list the URLs of the pages]. We therefore declare partial compliance with the standard for these pages.

Accessibility arrangements in the organization

We are committed to making our website and events accessible and inclusive for all grieving parents. While our events are held at various locations, we will do our best to provide accommodations when requested. If you need specific accessibility support to participate in an event—such as mobility access, sensory accommodations, or language support—please contact us in advance at contact@grievinghearts.org. The more notice we have, the better we can prepare to meet your needs.

Your comfort and ability to participate matter to us.

Requests, issues, and suggestions
